New York is one of the culinary capitals of the world but during the last month in February, it’s also at the center of the wine universe. From February 27th – March 1st, New York hosts the second annual New York Wine Expo at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. It is located on the border between Midtown West and Chelsea. The three-day exposition caters to both wine aficionados and novices looking to learn the basics.

The expo’s Grand Tasting event let’s you sample over 600 wines from over 170 winemakers from around the world. Winemakers and industry experts are on hand to answer questions and provide helpful tips on serving, pricing and selecting the right vintage. Seminars led by leading wine educators are also offered throughout the weekend for an additional fee.

The expo kicks off on Friday, February 27th, from 6:00 – 10:00 PM ($75), and continues on Saturday from 2:00 – 6:00 PM ($85). A souvenir wine glass and program guide are included in the price of admission. And if you purchase your ticket before February 20th, you’ll receive a $10 discount.
