South Kensington is an area of history, upscale community, arts, and sciences, and is a very central location from which to enjoy the City of London! Located on Harrington Gardens between Gloucester Road and Collingham Road, this period building is a walk-up and is complete with a security system for added peace of mind. Note that there is no elevator in the building, so stairs will need to be navigated.
The apartment is a studio, located in the third floor (which is the fourth floor in America) of this building in the heart of London, and is fully furnished. It has 29 square meters of space (312 square feet) and comes complete with a living/sleeping area, kitchen, and bathroom, to help make your visit a home away from home. For your sleeping consideration, there is a double-sized bed in the living/sleeping area; there is also a dining table with seating for two. You can partake of the kitchen to create meals to eat on that dining table if you wish; there is a refrigerator, oven, and a microwave to help you out. There’s also laundry in the apartment, should you need it.
The area of South Kensington is, as mentioned, an upscale community dedicated to the arts and sciences; it is a wonderful neighborhood should you wish to visit the local museums and galleries, of which there are many close by, including:
If you’re more into shopping, you’re very close to the upscale shopping in Knightsbridge (2.25 km/1.4 miles to the east), where you’ll find Sloane Street shopping that includes name-brand retailers such as Prada, Chanel, and Giorgio Armani. There’s also the 300+ departments of Harrods Department Store, located 1.9 km/1.2 miles to the east.
Close to this studio London apartment are plenty of chic bars, local pubs, and restaurants; neighboring Earl’s Court and Earl’s Court Road (0.6 km/0.4 miles to the west) is home to many restaurants and shops, and close-by Old Brompton Road (0.8 km/0.5 miles to the southeast) also has much to see and do.
When you’re done exploring the area on foot – or if you don’t like to do too much walking – there’s plenty of transportation options nearby to help you get around town. There’s the close-by London Underground (subway) station of Gloucester Road, about 0.5 km/0.3 miles to the northeast, not to mention bus stops along the aforementioned Old Brompton Road as well as Cromwell Road to the north (about 0.3 km/0.2 miles away). Your stay here will have plenty to see and do locally, and is convenient to transportation to get you anywhere else you’d like to see!
