This two bedroom vacation rental is in the border of North Kensington and Maida Hill areas of London on Second Avenue off Harrow Road. On the ground and first floor of a period terraced house the accommodation is bright and well appointed and has a private west facing garden/terrace to the rear of the house which is a great place to sit and catch the afternoon sun.
This fully furnished two bedroom vacation rental has a large living room which formally was two separate rooms. You can see the former separation in the ceiling beams and it also has two decorative fireplaces. The living area is on one side and there is a dining table with seating for four on the other. The modern kitchen overlooks the private terrace and is equipped with electric oven and gas hobs. Upstairs you will find two double bedrooms and the family bathroom with bath and wall-mounted shower.
Second Avenue is just off Harrow Road but this area is still considered North Kensington and is in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is close to the Grand Union Canal, a canal that stretches for nearly 140 miles from London to Birmingham.
PUBLIC TRANSIT: A bus stop at the end of your street, just a block away, serves several convenient bus stops, including one that takes you to Notting Hill Gate. It is also close to Ladbroke Grove from where you can take buses directly to Notting Hill, Holland Park, and Kensington. The nearest underground station is also nearby, at Westbourne Park, just over 1/2 a mile from the apartment, on the Hammersmith and City Line which takes you to Kings Cross and Liverpool Street for mainline railway stations or the financial area of London. There is also the Queen's Park subway that is also just 1/2 a mile away, serving the Bakerloo Line.

This apartment is located approximately 1/2 a mile from Westbourne Park underground station. There are buses at the end of the road (Harrow Road). The #28 bus will take you to Notting Hill Gate which is less than 2 miles. The number 36 bus from Queens Park will get to Hyde Park Corner which is approximately 3 miles from the apartment.
We rented this nice house for a week. Everything was perfectly organized to ensure we would have a good stay.
Sep 13 2012The house is very well thought out, the bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen is perfectly well equipped and the little bonus is its small garden!
Excellent location, close to the bus (a 5 min walk and it takes you to the subway) and to a subway station (a 25 min walk).
We highly recommend this house.

Aug 21 2012You can reach center london in a very short time as it is well deserved by a bus line every 4 mn. Direct trip to Mme Tusseauds, Regent, Euston, King Cross.
Very clean and calm, We apreciated the small court-yard and the lighted rooms.
Very pleasantly surprised by our accommodation: we had chosen this neighborhood because I knew it and also because of the photos on the website) and it lived up to our expectations.
