This furnished one bedroom vacation rental is located in the heart of Chelsea, one of the nicest residential areas in London. It is on the first floor (considered 2nd floor by Americans) of a low-rise, walk-up building on Elm Park Gardens, a lovely and peaceful street, lined with trees and beautiful historic buildings. You will conveniently have a washer/dryer in the unit, allowing you to travel lighter.
The one bedroom accommodation features hardwood flooring and several windows, which allow the sunlight to come in, making it a bright space. The main entrance of the apartment opens into a hallway that leads to the living area, which is furnished with a corner sofa, armchair, bookshelves, and a wall-mounted flat-screen cable TV. The separate eat-in kitchen is fully equipped and has a dining table that can seat up to four. The bedroom features a queen-size bed, nightstands and lamps, and ample closet space. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin, and WC, as well as a large wall mirror and vanity, where you can place all of your toiletries. Linen and towels are provided upon arrival.
Staying at this vacation rental will provide you with a great opportunity to discover the many attractions in Chelsea. This area is surrounded by parks, among them Onslow Square, Thurloe Square Garden, and Pelham Crescent, all within 3 blocks. A little further (1.2 miles / about 2 km) is the famous Hyde Park, a Royal Park, and one of the largest in the city. It features attractions like the Rose Garden, the Speakers' Corner, and The Serpentine, and it is a great venue for outdoor sports and music performances. Around the corner from the apartment, you can grab a bite at The Mediterranean Kitchen, or go for drinks at Chelsea Arts Club.
The closest underground station is South Kensington (0.6 miles / about 1 km), where you can access the Circle, District, and Piccadilly lines. Alternatively, you can walk to Fulham Road, where you can catch several buses that will transport you to other areas of London, while offering nice views during the commute.
