We found the apartment excellent overall but felt that things like salt, pepper, spices etc. item that don't go off and you use so little of could be provided. I know we left such items behind for the next tenant hoping they would not be thrown out.
Oct 08 2012Very clean, well equipped apartment and therefore enjoyable to stay here except for the lack of soundproofing which is a nuisance at night. The rental price was very high though.

All our flats have been fully refurbished within the last 2 years so everything is new.
Oct 12 2012Our front facing studios all have secondary glazing and those on the rear and side should not experience too much road noise.
The rental prices are reasonable in London in comparison to hotels in the area.
Our location is the main reason for our return guests who realise the great location of our apartments.(Easily accessible to all parts of London via 3 local tube stations and many buses to the West End, theatre district, universities etc).

Aug 11 2012The apartment is great, spacious, we recommend it for future rental. The only problem that we had was with the heating system. We were not advised that the building turns off the heating system in May, even with cold days/nights. They need to think about this policy and be more flexible with it.

The heating in the building is communal and is switched on for the winter and off for the summer. Unfortunately the weather this spring has been surprisingly cold after a recent warm spell which meant the building was colder than usual during the guests stay. We apologise for the inconvenience but we can offer a supply of electric heaters which are available on request.
May 23 2012We enjoyed the space, the quality of the bedding, kitchen and bathroom all very good, the condition of the apartment that was so to say brand new. The minor flaws were: the toilets in the bathroom and the excessive heating which meant we often had to open the windows.

The building has a communal heating system in operation during the winter months. The heating can be regulated at each of the individual radiators. Unfortunately there is no single thermostat in the apartments.

Jan 10 2012The main strengths of the vacation rental are: its location, the cleanliness, the layout, the furniture and the building reception.
The weak points are: the heating is far too hot and can't be regulated, the noise (we had to leave the windows open because it was too hot), the lack of utensils for basic cooking (large pans and frying pans, sharp knives etc.)

There is communal heating in the building which can restrict individual regulation of apartments. The owner has stipulated that extra kitchen utensils can be made available on request.

+ : the accommodation is very bright and the location is very good, close to many museums and regent's park which is great when you have kids.

- : as the apartment is bright, the blinds in the bedrooms don't block the light enough which made our nights shorter. Maybe find a solution (curtains...) Consider adding baby items especially a high chair (I got a crib that I'd thought of asking for when I made the booking)
In the end, we had a nice stay in London with the kids (three 15 month-old, 6- and 10 year-old) and I recommend this vacation rental, much more handy than a hotel and better value.
the area is noisy but central it is bearable when the windows are shut if you are in the bedrooms at the back the problem we had was when it was hot in london and the central heating was right up we asked to have it turned off several times but for an unknown reason they never turned it down (no control in the apartment, hence the choice between very noisy or stuffy). however they let us use the apartment over the usual times we arrived early and left late (no luggage to carry on arrival and departure days). the apartment was refurbished but problems with finishing touches and the windows don't have a good double glazing. For 6 people, it's a bit Spartan.

We will certainly recommend this place to anyone who wishes to visit London in a convenient way and in a clean and very decent apartment.
Everything went smoothly and there was no issue with the booking on the Internet.
Our stay at [this London vacation rental] offered an outstanding base for exploring London. We were within easy walking distance of three Underground stations, a very nice Waitrose supermarket, and an outstanding Waterstone's bookstore. The [vacation rental] was quite spacious, the beds were big and comfortable, the kitchen had all mod cons, all was very clean and the building was very quiet and it was near the city center so we were sometimes able to go walking there.

The apartment in London suited my family's needs very well. It had ample room and reasonable kitchen facilities. The location was very close to the Underground and other rail services. I would stay here again.

My only complaint was that the double bed in the apartment was actually two single beds pushed together. I would stay there again or more likely in another NY Habitat apartment in another section of London if this apartment indicates the quality standard of NY Habitat.
