Welcome to central London and your next home away from home! This location is just near Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park, the entrance to which is only 0.1 km/0.1 miles to the north from this one bedroom apartment. As this is located in the area of the Imperial College, you will find plenty of bars, pubs, restaurants, and other similar things to do in the area; as it is quite a popular area, you will no doubt notice there is always something going on, so the noise level might be slightly higher than normal. However, you will never lack things to do! Museums, including the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, and Victoria & Albert Museum are all just around the corner from this one bedroom apartment, about 0.8 km/0.5 miles away to the south. There is plenty of shops and shopping to experience in this area, as well as the upscale shops of Knightsbridge bordering to the east; Harrods, for example, is only 1.4 km/0.9 miles away to the east.
You’ll also have plenty of convenient transportation options, including many bus stops and the London underground (subway) system – the South Kensington station is only 1 km/0.6 miles away to the southeast. The apartment was extremely pleasant and the owner - whom we did not meet but who was unfailingly courteous in our exchange of e-mails (and in one telephone conversation)- was kind and accommodating. The flat is in an elegant section of London, close to Hyde Park, Imperial College, Royal Albert Hall, the Natural Science, Science, and Victoria and Albert Museums, and a 15-minute walk from the South Kensington Underground Station. |

This apartment is excellent. Plenty of room, clean and contains everything you need. A good 10 minute walk to the Tube and 2 minute walk to Kensington Gardens. A beautiful area, close to pubs and restaurants. The landlord was excellent and very accommodating. |

very nice in every way and the owners could not have been more gracious. I have three suggestions that would have helped: an extra set of keys to the apartment [we had several times that proved a problem];instructions in the manual or communications, telling how to make a call to the owner's mobile from an American cell phone [drop the 0 after the +44]; last, a personal one, I read in bed at night and missed a bedside lamp. These are not complaints, only suggestions that would have been helpful. |

Excellent location, easy access to transportation and places to eat and shop. We had a mix up on Pounds vice Euro, but worked that out. If there were a couples of chairs in the living that were confortable and a firmer matress it would have made a difference. Minor thing, but we staied in door more than most I suppose. Security was not an issue and the park was close for evening walks. I would return in the future and recommend to friends. There was a bit of a supprise cleaning fee at the end of our stay that was not mentioned up front. |

While we thought the apartment was lovely and so were the hosts, we found it to be extremely noisy. It is a basement apartment located at an intersection between two busy streets, and the fact that there is an outside alcove under street level amplifies the noise of the cars. |
