Provence - Southern Alps - French Riviera, known as Région PACA (Provence - Alpes - Côte d'Azur) - Montpellier and southern Gard area

This well sought-after region of France's first asset is its location in the southeast corner of the country. Both its climate and its quality of life are among the best in France. It offers a remarkable diversity of natural sites and landscapes, ranging from the Mediterranean littoral to alpine heights along the Italian border, mixing nautical and alpine activities at will.

Marseilles is the region's capital city and boasts satellite cities of interest as great as diverse (Vitrolles, Aix en Provence, Aubagne) as well as a beautiful string of rocky inlets.

Cities from St Tropez to Menton, including Cannes and Monaco, present the Riviera while Avignon, Aix en Provence and Montpellier are cities of culture and academic excellence, the smaller towns and villages of the Southern Alps are the threshold to breathtaking sceneries and Arles opens its doors to the wilderness of Camargue.
