This is an excellent apartment - or, rather, two bedrooms each with bath and joined by a kitchen. The only lack I could think of was laundry facilities.
Apr 29 2013This is a great part of town and has the advantage of being especially quiet by Manhattan standards.
Michele and her family were friendly and welcoming but in no way intrusive. I would warmly recommend this place.

May 01 2013Generally, in house laundry facilities are quite hard to come by in NYC.
Our smaller units do not have a washer/ dryer. However, our larger garden apartment has one, and would be a great choice for guests who require laundry facilities.
As a convenience for our B&B guests, we gladly offer to have sheets and towels cleaned as often as requested for no additional charge.
For personal laundry - There is a Cleaner just around the corner that will wash, fold and deliver for about $1 per pound.
The room where we stayed was very nice, clean and well equipped (TV, wifi, ample provision of bed linens and towels, hairdryer and socket adaptor in the bathroom)
Nov 26 2012The adjacent kitchen is also very well equipped with everything you need to cook. The decoration is very well thought out.
The owners are very warm and welcoming. The landlady took care of everything when we had problems with our flight cancellation, her help was extremely precious.
The B&B is well located in a safe neighborhood and close to a subway station and several shops. We enjoyed staying in a neighborhood off the beaten track and sharing new yorkers' real life.
Accommodation is comfortable, very nice and very well situated (very close to subway and to Central Park). Owners are welcoming and helpful.
Jul 08 2012Just a suggestion for improvement: for a stay of nearly 2 weeks, we would have appreciated to have the sheets changed and the place cleaned.
Still, highly recommended!

Jul 10 2012In response, we do offer fresh sheets and towels upon request as often as needed. In addition, there are extra clean sheets and towels located in the room closet for our guests's use. While our guests suites are 100% guaranteed spotless upon arrival, we do understand that longer stays may require additional cleaning. We are happy to provide cleaning services for a small fee upon request.

Very well-kept room with private bathroom in the Morningside Heights neighborhood on the border of Harlem. Still, I never felt uncomfortable [...]. Certainly not as hip as other parts of the city and a little far from central Manhattan, but it's still convenient to reach it via subway (about 15 minutes to Times Square, 20-30 minutes to the WTC / Lower Manhattan).
Oct 07 2011Owner was very nice and helpful, apartment was very clean and tidy. In the area enough options to have breakfast (Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, various cafes). Close to Columbia University, so there is the academic feel.
