These charming rooms for rent are part of a shared brownstone triplex apartment in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. At times, the rooms are rented as bed and breakfast accommodations, for nightly or weekly rentals, and at other times, they are rented on a monthly basis, as a longer-term roommate share situation.
The first bedroom for rent (Bedroom 1) is located in the basement. A shared bathroom is located upstairs on the first level; the kitchen and living room are also upstairs and are shared. Please be aware that the ceiling of the basement is low, only 5 feet and 8 inches (1.80 meters) high. The room is equipped with a single size bed, a desk, and has a skylight where natural light comes through. The basement bedroom is completely private from the rest of the house. Linens are provided.
The second bedroom for rent (Bedroom 2) is on the 2nd floor. The room is brightly painted, accenting the classic embossed ceilings and bright white moldings. A decorative fireplace and hardwood floors also add personality to the room, which overlooks a tree-lined residential street via two windows.
On the first level is the living room which is to be shared with the roommates. The living room is furnished with a sofa, chairs and a coffee table. There is a bookcase and wireless Internet access is available. On this floor there is also bathroom and a kitchen with a dining table that seats four people. In the kitchen you have the convenience of a washing machine and a dryer and a door which opens to the backyard garden area, which includes some patio furniture for relaxing.
The Cobble Hill neighborhood is a residential area near many shops, bakeries, restaurants and coffee shops in Brooklyn. The Sugar Lounge, for example, is only 500 feet (152 meters) away from the apartment at Kane Street, as is the restaurant Alma, which has a rooftop terrace with a great view of the Manhattan skyline. Furthermore, there is a cinema 7 blocks to the east, and Cobble Hill Park can be found five blocks away. About 9 blocks (2000 feet / 610 m) from the apartment you will find the nearest subway station: the Bergen Street station, where you can catch the F train into Manhattan (just 3 stops!) so you can visit all of New York City's sights, or the G train to travel through Brooklyn.
Please note the owner has pets living in the apartment. If you have certain allergies, please inform your agent.
