Welcome to the quaint Brooklyn oasis of Park Slope. This private room is in a 4 story historic Victorian house with a stunning garden and large patio, available to guests. Based on owner’s needs, guest’s private room will be either Bedroom 1 or Bedroom 2 on the top floor, up 2 flights of stairs.Guests who desire both rooms will receive a discount.
The main floor serves primarily as a busy office. Guests may help themselves to breakfast foods, juice and coffee, supplied by the owner. The main floor has high ceilings, large windows, family artwork, and beautiful hardwood floors, and is illuminated with natural light. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffeemakers. Cooking can occasionally be arranged, however, generally guests are encouraged to eat at the many outstanding and not expensive restaurants.
The home owner has an excellent booklet for travel tips, neighborhood restaurants, and suggestions for cultural and tourist activities.
This house is in an excellent, very desirable location. The subway at 4 Avenue/9 Street is just 3 minutes/3 blocks away (the R, G, and F lines). These can connect you quickly to every subway in NYC.
Park Slope is a gorgeous and quaint Brooklyn neighborhood, known for its beautiful brownstones, family activities and friendly neighbors. The neighborhood is teeming with cultural activities, playgrounds, shopping, restaurants, and bars. There are 30 blocks of excellent restaurants, bakeries, and bars, as well as sports facilities like the YMCA, NY Sports Club, a movie theater, and vintage and discount shopping. Bikes can easily be rented. In good weather, some streets are closed to cars for restaurant dining, while kids play sports and board games in the street. Across the street is a supermarket, and Commonwealth, a friendly bar with an indie-rock jukebox, pinball machine, & patio. Check out gorgeous Prospect Park (0.8 mi/1.3 km), with ice skating and free events, and visit the beautiful Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, and the world renowned Brooklyn Museum of Art.

Lovely apartment to live in, bright and airy, overlooking a well maintained, beautiful garden. The hostess is a very nice lady who makes you feel comfortable and can give you some advice on stores, restaurants and going out. |
