Found in lovely Windsor Terrace, directly across the street from one of Brooklyn's most famous landmarks, Prospect Park, this warm two bedroom apartment has a private bedroom for you to call home. The apartment is on the second floor (considered the first floor by Europeans) of a walk-up building, less than a block from the subway that will take you to Manhattan!

This shabby chic bed and breakfast is lined with hardwood floors and has a charming vintage decor. Prewar details like original moldings and wooden window and door sashes make the place special. The room for rent features a convertible double size futon bed that can be folded up during the day to save space, and a small table nestled in front of a window for your laptop or meals. Two large windows that allow natural sunlight to grace the room and there is a dresser and hanging rack for clothes.

The owner of this apartment will be happy to provide you with maps, menus, neighborhood tips and recommendations as well as a collection of books that highlight the best features New York City and Brooklyn have to offer! Breakfast may not always be provided, but the kitchen microwave is available for light meal prep and small food items can be stored in the refrigerator. The owner will also be able to help those with transportation concerns by arranging transportation if needed.

Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn is a great neighborhood in New York to base your vacation in, and this spot of Prospect Park Southwest puts you right across from the park! Here are some local options for fun, and Manhattan is just a train ride away (subway station is just down the street):

• You could spend a whole day relaxing in the huge Prospect Park just behind this bed and breakfast or maybe stroll through the park to make your way to the Brooklyn Museum or Brooklyn Botanic Gardens on the northern end.
• The best shopping can be found on Prospect Park West or in Park Slope on 7th Avenue, a short walk away, where you will find an array of bars, resultants and shops.
• If you enjoy dining out, Windsor Terrace has many types of restaurants such as Sushi Yu, just around the corner from this B&B. If you prefer French cuisine, Le P'tit Paris is a little further down Prospect Park West and there is also a great Spanish/Mexican restaurant in town called Elora's at 17th Street and Prospect Park West.
• If you'd like to pick up some snacks, Shop Smart Food Mart, is less than two blocks form this apartment and all the local restaurants provide takeout or delivery.
