Duplex apartment with garden in Chelsea
|
This two bedroom, two bathroom apartment is located in Chelsea, two streets away from the old historic district, in a row of Greek Revival and Italian houses dating from 1835 to 1860. There are trees on both sides of the street. It is just a 10 minute walk from Greenwich Village and a 15 minute walk from the Empire State Building. This is a shared situation.
The apartment is a duplex on the ground floor and second floor of the building, facing the street on the north side and the garden on the south side. The garden is large, measuring approximately 16 X 50. There is no doorman in this type of building but there is an intercom and two sets of doors at the entrance.
When you enter the apartment there is the bedroom to your right with twin beds, a TV and a fairly large closet. There is a bathroom with tub and shower. On the same floor is the living room/dining room which has two windows and a door that opens to the garden. It is furnished with a sofabed, two armchairs, TV and stereo, and a dining table which seats six people. The living room opens onto a small kitchen. BREAKFAST is served in the livingroom by the owner. Client has no access to the livingroom and the kitchen.
If you like sports, you are just two blocks away from the Chelsea Pier, where you will find one of the largest sports facilities in the city, with a gym, swimming pool, tennis courts and rock climbing. Chelsea is also the center of the new art scene with about 50 galleries, several of which have relocated from SoHo. Because of the influx of these galleries many new restaurants have recently opened in the neighborhood.
