One bedroom apartment in East Village

This one bedroom apartment is located in the East Village in a prewar, Tenement walk-up building. There are 33 units in the building and there are five floors (no elevator). This building has a front door security system with double doors and a locked security gate. The building intercom does not work. The apartment is modest and simple. It is functional and not luxurious. It is located on the fourth floor, is approximately 450 sq ft and has hardwood floors. It sleeps two people. When you open the apartment door, you enter into the kitchen, equipped with a fridge/ freezer, a microwave and an old-fashioned stove. Basic kitchen utensils are provided. The small narrow bathroom is right next to the kitchen. It is equipped with a sink, located next to an old fashioned bathtub. The rim of the tub is somewhat higher than newer tubs. It has a wrap-around plastic shower curtain.The toilet is in a separate room near kichen. The living room is very simple and equipped with a futon sofa bed, a coffee table and a dresser with a cable TV on top. The living room is equipped with an air conditioning unit. Next to this room there is the bedroom. It has a double size bed, a bedside table and a dresser. There is no telephone in the apartment. Internet is available. This apartment is perfect for the young at heart travelers and people who don't mind the bohemian life style of the East Village. There are many inexpensive restaurants of every variety, and many wonderful food stores in the area. There are also many fun bars and clubs in the neighborhood as well as movie theatres. The nearest laundry facility is nearby. Transportation: There is the L train is on 14th Street. It takes approximately 10 minutes to walk to Union Square, where you can find a large subway station with many lines, such as the N, R, 4, 5, 6 trains. Yellow taxis can be called at all times of the day or night.
