This 900 square feet (84 m²) two bedroom apartment is located on the 3rd floor (considered 2nd by Europeans) of a walk-up, brownstone building. From the kitchen/dining-room and bathroom, you look onto the private park at the MacDougal-Mews (no access, but a beautiful view) as well as at the former house of Bob Dylan. There are almost no apartments with a back-to-back park views in New York: here you have it.
This bright apartment has hardwood floors. For entertainment, there is a TV with a DVD players; there is also a office area with a desk and a phone when you need to work at home. The open kitchen is equipped with a stove, a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a CD-player/radio, a toaster, and a blender and there is a round dining table.
The apartment has a unique layout, with the living room and the smaller bedroom facing north, overlooking Bleecker Street (with sound proof windows); the open living room is used as the master bedroom, with a queen size bed. The kitchen features appliances and a countertop against the south wall and a lovely dining area situated in front of a decorative fireplace, and two large windows to allow in natural light. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower and the convenience of a washing machine.
The apartment is located in the heart of the famous Greenwich Village and one block away from SoHo, one of the most sought after areas in Manhattan. In the West Village you can find the New Museum (0.7 miles / 1.12km) and the Children’s Museum of NYC (.5 miles / 750 m) as well as many other famous sites. In the same block as this one bedroom rental, the Beat culture was born; explore the bars to the left side of the MacDougal-Mews Park where famous beatniks such as Alan Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac were known to hangout. If you are looking for a delicious cappuccino take a visit to the Third Rail or the best croissant in New York stop in at Mille Feuille Bakery and Café around the corner. Mulino restaurant is right nearby as well as the Blue Hill Restaurant.
