This four bedroom apartment is located in an old industrial space, which has been converted into apartments, and artist spaces. The location is in Greenpoint along the Newtown Creek. There is access to a small grassy area in the back of the building, which is next, the creek.
The entry to the complex is through a gate at the front of the building. Beyond the gate is the pathway, which leads to the apartments. This apartment is located on the left side and has two access doors. The main entrance enters into a foyer, which is connected, to one bedroom and the eat-in kitchen.
Beginning in the kitchen, which is fully equipped there is ample room to spread out and make a nice meal. The kitchen has mostly black appliances, which include a stove, refrigerator, and microwave. There is also a coffee maker and toaster. There is a full set of pots, pans, utensils and dishes. The kitchen serves as the hub of the apartment and includes connections to three bedrooms the bathroom and the living room. There is a ceiling fan in the kitchen.
The living room is just off the kitchen and is a large space of about 600 square feet It includes several sofa, a TV with VCR and a stereo. There are several large windows in this room, which provide ample light. They face the courtyard of the building. There is also a large dining table, which can easily seat 8 people. There is a ceiling fan in the living room.
The apartment has two large bedrooms and two smaller bedrooms.
The first large bedroom is connected to the kitchen and parallels the living room. The room gets plenty of light from a skylight. There is a full sized bed in the room, a ceiling fan for cooling and plenty of storage space. There is a gas fireplace in this bedroom.
The second large bedroom is just off of the entry foyer and is good for sleeping because it is the darkest bedroom. IT has a full sized mattress, a small sofa, and a TV with VCR.
The third bedroom is smaller and contains a double. The room has a large window, which faces out to the courtyard.
The fourth bedroom is similar to the third bedroom and contains a Twin bed as well. This room also has a big window facing the courtyard.
All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans.
There are two bathrooms.
The larger of the two is just off the kitchen and contains a tub/shower, a brightly light vanity with sink and a W/C.
The second bathroom is connected to the second large bedroom and has a shower, a vanity and a W/C.
The building features several nice spaces, which make it unique. There is a shared roof deck area with views of Manhattan and the back yard along the river. The building has laundry facilities across the courtyard.
The neighborhood of Greenpoint is one of the fastest growing areas in Brooklyn because of its convenience to Manhattan. The walk to the 7 train at Vernon Jackson is just 8 minutes and takes you to Times Square and Grand Central in less then 10 minutes. The G train is also less then a 10 minute walk away. Also, cafes, restaurants and bars have established themselves in the neighborhood on the main thoroughfares including Manhattan, Franklin and Greenpoint Avenues.
