My overall experience at 58th Street & 6th Avenue was fantastic. You cannot possibly find a better location and the availability of Central Park, Museums, Restaurants, Theaters and so close to the subway and buses. The only two things that were not perfect were the 2 (sometimes loud) young girls living in the apartment next store and the (sometimes frequent) smell of marijuana in the outside courtyard area that made me close the windows. Other than that my stay was perfect...

Dear Michael,
I am very glad that you enjoyed so much your time at my apartment and that you gave it such high marks.
You were a good tenant.
Regarding the smells, as I told you, I did not experience them, nor did any other previous tenant. It must be a new resident. As you were not able to identify from where they were coming, I was unable to bring the subject to the board's attention.
The late night noise from the girls next door also was news to me as well. They are singers. I hear them practice during the day. It gets cancelled with the radio or the TV. I asked them to limit the noise to the hours regulated by the city.
Thank you,
Rocio

Took a while to get used to the small space, but I guess for an apartment in Manhattan, it was big enough. The amenities were fine, all appliances were in good working condition. Ideal location. The only 5 problems I faced, were the lack of gas (for 2 months), the fact that the front door can lock in on itself, the placing of the toilet with relation to the sink, making it impossible to sit straight, kitchen bulb not working even when changed, lack of daylight in the apartment. I don't think half of these can be changed, anyway. Apart from that I had a pleasant stay, the apartment was well furnished with a pretty feminine touch. In the end I could call it my 'cosy little Manhattan home'. Rocio was a most pleasant landlady - very sweet, understanding and helpful. The concierges were also very nice. Thank you NY Habitat for finding me a decent place to live at during my stay in New York.

Thanks for your kind review. I am so glad that you enjoyed staying in my apartment, its wonderful location and that it became your home.
I am sorry about the lacking of gas to cook. The leak affected the whole building and there was nothing any of us could do about. Thanks for getting a hotplate and getting by with it and the microwave.
I wish you all the best
