There are many clubs, cafes and bars that offer great latin music and tasty food, as well as many other types of restaurants and cafes with a range of different types of cuisine. There are supermarkets and stores open 24 hour and a lot of shopping along the avenues and at East River Plaza, a shopping mall located at East 117th Street and the East River.
The subway stations are a few blocks away and the public bus run along First and Second Avenue.
