The only trouble was that I cannot change the temperature because there was no thermostat and you cannot receive your own mails. But instead of that it was very beautiful.

This is a rental building with 8 apartments which is owned by one person. It has never had individual apartment heat which would allow each person to control their apartment. This building has one boiler that supplies heat to all the units. This is why heat is included in the rent instead of an additional heat cost.
Mailboxes are not offered to guest which are only visiting for a short. This does away with the problem of mail coming once your stay is over. We recommend securing a PO box during your stay.
Thank you
Terry

LOVED,LOVED, LOVED the apartment ! Perfect location with bus stop right in front of the apartment which takes you to the Barclay's Center within 5 mins. From there various subways to everywhere in New York. All kind of grocery shopping and restaurants just around the corner or in walking distance of approx. 5 - 10 mins. Safe area. Me (single, female) never had any fears walking the streets, even at night. The owner is adorable as can be and whenever you have a question or need help, she is there at all times. This was my first apartment rental ever and it really felt like beeing home away from home. I couldn't have chosen a better place and would do it again in a heartbeat.

The apartment is in good conditions but it's too expensive for the area. Its soundproofing should be better.

Dear Jose,

Thank you for your recent stay at my apartment.
It's always nice to receive feedback from a guest, and it gives me some insight on what I need to improve, as well as letting me address some of your concerns.
I am sorry that you found the apartment noisy. However, since it is located on the 1st floor next to the entrance of the building, it would be a little noisier than one on an upper floor. Still, this apartment has had almost 100% occupancy over the past six years and I have only had one other complaint about noise, which was in 2009. I appreciate your comment and will see how I might improve the situation.

With respect to your concern regarding the pricing of the rental unit, I would like for you to consider that the apartment is fully furnished and equipped one bedroom unit with free WiFi and cable. It is my opinion that this pricing is fair when you consider that one bedroom apartments in Prospect Heights. When you consider that for the same price or for a higher rent these apartments are unfurnished, do not come stocked with dishes, appliances, towels, etc., and that the tenants have to pay their own electric, cable, and WiFi bills, it is my belief that this unit is a very good short-term rental alternative. I understand that on the surface you may think that the pricing is slightly high, but I would like for you to compare it to other units on the market today and consider the cost associated with providing the amenities that are supplied in this unit.

I appreciate your business and your feedback. Thank you for your time at your apartment.

Sincerely,

Terry

This apartment is awesome! It is quite large (for NY) and the amenities are exceptional. Super clean - stocked with everything you need! And the location cannot be beat. Right in the middle of Prospect Heights - great shopping, restaurants, etc. in every direction.

The landlord is wonderful! Very friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in NYC!
