This fully furnished one bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a 5-story brick building with security system on the border of East Harlem and the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Conveniently, there is a Laundromat on the ground floor of the neighboring building, where you can do your laundry. The apartment itself is air-conditioned and there is internet access available.
The living room of the apartment features hardwood floors and an exposed brick wall. The room contains a double sofa bed facing a wooden coffee table and flat-screen cable TV. There is also a dining table that seats two. The kitchen of the apartment has a colorful tiled floor, and is equipped with an oven plus stovetop, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker and toaster. The bedroom also features hardwood floors and a window with eastern exposure, overlooking the courtyard. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and a desk with chair, where you can work from home. You can access the bathroom in the apartment from the bedroom. The tiled bathroom has another window with a view of the backyard, and contains a bathtub with shower, WC and washbasin. Linen and towels are provided.
You can find the one bedroom apartment on Lexington Avenue and 98th Street in East Harlem, New York. There are many grocery shops, restaurants and cafes all along Lexington Avenue and on nearby Park Avenue. Earl’s Beer and Cheese is a fun bar just 1 block from the apartment, and La Galette Café, about 2 blocks away, has great French and African food. You will also find some of New York’s best museums in the area, such as the Guggenheim and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Arguably the biggest attraction in the neighborhood is Central Park, just 3 blocks west of the apartment. You can enjoy a summer picnic, take a walk, spot birds, visit the baseball fields, or go jogging, among plenty of other outdoor activities! To commute uptown or downtown in New York City, you can catch the 6 train at the 96 Street / Lexington Avenue subway station just 2 blocks south of the apartment.

The furniture in the apartment was basicly falling apart. The kitchen was ok but lacked some basic equipment, on the stove three of four plates worked. Had to make them add cleaning equipment to be able to sweep floors etc but no vacuum cleaner. Often a lack of hot water. Even if the wooden floors looks good on photo they aren't really in a good condition. |

Thank you for this review Peter. During the guest's stay, there was a need to shut down the boiler for maintenance which is a normal operation. We have a staff that is ready to help when there is a problem. |
