Three blocks south is Greenwich Village with its cobblestone, tree-lined streets and gorgeous historic buildings- the most charming section of New York. One block away is the Chelsea Market, home of The Food Network, where you will find an indoor market to shop for fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, wine, freshly baked breads and pastries. Directly south of this is the newly invigorated, high style, "Meatpacking District". This area is a hub of high fashion, food and nightlife, with hip clubs, haute couture shops and fine restaurants, including Colicchio & Sons, STK, Morimoto and Buddakan, among others.

One block away is The Highline Park, a new elevated park with an acclaimed design that turns an early 20th century overhead freight railway into an aerial pedestrian ribbon connecting the West Village, the Meatpacking District, Chelsea and Midtown Along the river three blocks away is the recently completed Hudson River Park, a beautiful landscaped esplanade along the Hudson River with bike and roller-blading lanes, park benches, renovated piers, lawns and spectacular views of downtown Manhattan.
