It was a pleasure to stay at Carol's apartment, she is a truly warm and helpful landlady. Location is great, it's close to the subway and easy to get anywhere from there! Beautiful neighborhood with restaurants and lots of fun!

The apartment is a really nice space with plenty of light, clean, tidy and has everything we needed. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped. The master bedroom is lit by sun in the morning and has great closets. The other room is small but adequate.

The only thing I would recommend is that renters are told before closing the deal that the owner wishes occupants to leave their shoes downstairs and to use slippers or walk barefoot in the apartment. Not that we minded at all, just to be safe.

Ana, it was a pleasure having you and your daughter stay in the apartment. I'm delighted that you found everything you needed and were satisfied with the accommodation.

It is true that I prefer that shoes not be worn in the apartment but be left in the vestibule. This request is for the cleanliness of the wood floors. As you may agree, the City streets are pretty dirty and one can bring in germs on their shoes. This is a rule I follow in my portion of the house as well.

The request is not meant to restrict the occupants' freedom or comfort during their stay.

Most of the occupants did not find this intrusive as this is a custom for them in the own home. However, I appreciate your suggestion to advise, beforehand, future occupants of this request.

The apartment is great, convenient and close the Subway. The landlord is completely helpful and supportive. I would definitely recommend it.

This is a very nice sublet apartment, and the landlord is friendly and accommodating. It is worth noting that the second bedroom is quite small, and the table has stools (not chairs), meaning that I think the apartment is better for short-term stays (1 week to 1 month).

It was very clean and equipped with the appliances we needed. The stove/oven was broken, and the landlord provided a hotplate the next day, which was prompt and a reasonable solution, if not ideal (it would have been nice to have a real stove and oven).

I am glad you enjoyed the apartment! As the oven was not heating up as quickly as you had wanted, I provided a temporary solution considering that replacing the oven's wattage would require the approval of Con Edison, who at that time was still busy helping out the victims of Superstorm Sandy.

It is true that the second bedroom is smaller than the first; I have asked New York Habitat to make sure that this is clearly shown. I have had various guests stay for various lengths of time at my apartment.

I always wish for my guests to be comfortable and to feel at home!

Apartment is in really great neighborhood! Safe and everything near. Easy and fast access to Manhattan. Would stay here again. Only minus is that the other bedroom is way much smaller that the other main bedroom. Landlord was very helpful with everything.

Thanks for your review, Jenny. I had imagined that the photos of the apartment on New York Habitat's website showed that one of the bedrooms is smaller than the other. In any case, I am glad you enjoyed your stay! The apartment's location is certainly very convenient!

Our stay at this apartment was both pleasant and relaxing. There was ample space, especially for two people, and everything was clean, in order, and in great condition.

The owner was very engaged and concerned about us having a positive experience throughout our stay. If we had any problems or questions, the owner was available, helpful, and genuine.

The location is excellent and in a safe area - with quick and easy access to subway lines to Manhattan, a laundromat, various grocery and drug stores, bars, restaurants and unique Brooklyn shops and boutiques.
