Description
1 Bedroom Apartment Rental in Little Italy, Soho (NY-15539)
1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom - Sleeps

This is a model apartment. It reflects both the quality and the style of the apartments we offer at this location. The individual apartments are a variation of this one with some differences in layout and exposure.

This furnished one bedroom apartment is located in the exciting neighborhood, Little Italy, which is near Soho in downtown Manhattan. Situated in a 6-story pre-war building, this apartment has both an elevator and laundry room for your convenience. In addition to this hotspot location, you will be able to enjoy panoramic views of NYC from the shared rooftop deck! The apartment is also equipped with a video intercom system for your safety.

The great part of this apartment is that you can enjoy the hustling and exciting aspects of Little Italy and Soho, and come home to a tranquil environment. Since the windows are noise canceling, you wont have to worry about your beauty sleep. The kitchen is equipped with high-end stainless steel appliances, and the large windows grace the apartment with natural sunlight. Styled with contemporary décor, this home provides a living area with couches, a stereo system, a flat screen TV and a designated dining area.

Mulberry Street is the heart of Little Italy. With such a wonderful culture and rich history, this location is not only desirable by tourists; it is also a great place to call home. Little Italy provides so much to do and see, especially regarding Italian food and entertainment. With dozens of restaurant options right on the street below, you will never have a problem finding a place that fits your needs. If you would like to venture away from the Italian bubble, Soho has other multiple eateries that range in exquisite cuisines. If you like Asian food, check out Nyonya on Grand Street, or if you prefer American food, Barmarche Restaurant (3 blocks south on Spring Street) is the place for you. Finding a place to eat will never be a problem. Cooking at home will be easy too; you can hit up the local grocery store, like a Spanish specialty store called Despana (just around the corner), or maybe go to the Whole Foods half a mile away.

Food isn’t the only great part about living here; this prime location is great for entertainment, shopping and leisure. If you love art, you’re in luck! There are so many galleries for you to check out such as the Clic Gallery on 255 Centre Street, or the Soho Loft Gallery on Lafayette Street (only three blocks away). If you want to spend a day at the museum learning about culture, you can attend the Museum of Chinese in America, or the Italian American Museum. For a day of leisure, Columbus Park is only 0.3 miles away. If you want to relax, play sports or chess, or even just people watch, this place is suitable for all those needs.

Although this furnished one bedroom is in a great location, there are times when you might need to travel to other parts of Manhattan and New York as well. The subway stations that are nearest this apartment are only three blocks away and give you access to the 6 line, the N,Q,J,Z,R,B and D lines. Traveling around New York will never be a hassle because you can catch any train in no time!

Please note that the apartment is located in a lovely area and some noise can be heard at times.

While I enjoyed the stay:

- The furnishings were only so-so given the price. I believe everything was from Ikea: functional but felt cheap.
- The couch was nice looking but particularly uncomfortable.
- The bedroom and bathroom were excellent in terms of natural light and furnishings.

Dear James,

Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with the functionality of the furnishings in the unit you stayed in. We value our guests evaluation and continually look at how we can improve not only our service but also the apartment itself. It is our goal to exceed our guests expectations and we are sorry that we did not deliver this experience during your stay.

When we have availabilities between our bookings, we use that time and opportunity to upgrade necessary furniture pieces. In the past, I believe the company did use some furniture from Ikea, but we are currently and progressively upgrading most units we manage.

We would also like to thank you for your positive feedback regarding the bedroom of the apt. We are experimenting with different types of sofa beds at the moment, so your feedback on the quality is noted and is helpful in our search for a functional sofa bed that all of our tenants can enjoy.

We hope that you will have the opportunity to stay with us again to see our improvements.

Sincerely,
Charity

Very disappointed with the apartment for mainly the incredibly cheap and uncomfortable beds. Might as well have been sleeping on boards. The linens and towels were threadbare at best and the kitchen stock was more than lacking. When I moved in I had to have the bed replaced due to springs sticking out and the replacement was only slightly better. The comforter was dirty and threadbare and the replaced one was hardly better. The towels, when we finally got them, were frayed and old.

The kitchen dishes were beyond minimal and the cooking pans were disgusting, old, scraped and again, very minimal. If the apartment had been a lot cheaper it wouldn't have been as big a deal but it was VERY expensive with fees and all.

The keypad to our door locked us out a couple of times and the outside keypad was inconsistent in working. The walls are paper thin so our neighbors activities were, how do I say, embarrassing at times.

The original move in date kept getting pushed back because the previous tenant continued to not move out. We were assured that when we got there on the final move in date that all was a go. When we arrived, that tenant was STILL in there.

The management company was able to get us into a different apartment but it was pretty stressful.

Dear Kelley,

Regarding the keypad locks: The lock codes on the apartment units can be act faulty at times, but we strive to always be available to our clients to ensure they are able to get into their apartments. That said, Kelley, whenever you happened to be locked out of the apt we extended personal contact information for the management personnel while we sorted out our technical difficulties with the manufacturers of the key code company.

We had hoped to have this sorted sooner rather than after your departure but since then, this issue with the faulty locks has been resolved.

In regards to the linens, We have to extend our sincere apology in this. We have since then changed Linen company's due to the exact reasons of unsatisfactory quality. As mentioned during your stay our beds are all by the same manufacture and since many of our tenants have different preferences in bedding quality, a majority requests are for firmer beds.

Our Kitchen supply are based by apt bedrooms. If the tenants require more then we can provide more. We also change out our cooking ware quite frequently after inspection and assessment is done. Prior to your move in the walk through determined that the items in this apt were in good use for a new tenant. I apologize that you were not please with this.

If you ever decide to stay with us again please be sure to mention this within your stay so that we can effectively take care of it. Lastly, the building is a relative newly renovated building. The building however has been around for a long while.

As you know you were located in the heart of Little Italy and Chinatown. I do apologize for the noise level, yet again if you happen to stay with us in the future please notify us so that we may help in this. Move out dates are quite tricky, as you know Kelley, like you many of our guest decide to extend and some do not have or give advance notice. This can causing *some* arrivals to be moved into another unit for a few days or until the unit they desire is vacant. This is also mentioned in your lease.

Again, we apologize for the inconveniences during your stay and hope that you may decide to return in the future as we are continuously making changes to ensure that vacations or business stays run smoothly.

Thank you for your business
Charity
