This cozy furnished one bedroom retreat in Manhattan's exclusive Upper East Side neighborhood is a winning combination of style and convenience. Just blocks from breathtaking waterfront views, this find at 65th Street and 1st Avenue is the perfect choice for your upcoming trip to New York City.
Your apartment is conveniently located on the first floor of your building, so there are no stairs to walk up (considered the ground floor by Europeans). The door opens into your expansive living room, a great place to relax on the comfortable couch and watch some cable after a busy day at work or exploring NYC. This couch is also easily converted into a bed in case of weekend guests. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator/freezer and gas stove with a hood, and you'll find a table that seats four next door in the living room. A decorative (nonworking) fireplace distinguishes your bedroom, where you'll find a full bed and a small dresser. The elegant bathroom features marble flooring with a spacious bathtub.
Offering some of Manhattan's best dining, shopping, and parks, the Upper East Side is the perfect base for your time here. If you like to jog or bike, you'll find an ideal path in the park bordering the East River just blocks away from your one bedroom. Central Park, perhaps New York's most famous attraction, is also within walking distance, a great place to get away from the crowds and enjoy a variety of recreational activities.
Along 1st Avenue you'll find a useful selection of grocery stores, Laundromats, and restaurants. Gristedes is a few blocks north of your apartment, and this is a good place to stop on your way home for dinner ingredients and other essentials. Torishin, about a block away also on 1st Avenue, serves amazing sushi, but if you'd rather have pasta, Za Za, just a couple of doors down, comes highly recommend for its delicious Italian fare and impressive wine list.
Another advantage to your accommodations is that you're very close to several subway stops, and if you're commuting to the United Nations, a bus traveling along 2nd Avenue will take you there. At 59th Street and Lexington Avenue you'll find the 4, 5, 6, N, Q, R trains, and a bit further north at 63rd Street and Lexington Avenue you can take the F train.
