Two bedroom apartment located in East Village

Location: Lower East Side Size: The apartment has an area of approximately 900 square feet. Building: The apartment is located in a prewar walk up on the second floor (1 flight of stairs) . The building also has an intercom security system. Interior: The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The living/dining room, which is approximately 400 square feet., is furnished with antiques and modern Italian furniture. There are Turkish kilims on the floor. The walls of the apartment are decorated with original oil paintings, and various antique objects. A stereo comprised of receiver and radio, and CD player provides entertainment. There are two ceiling fans which circulates air. The ceilings are approximately 9 feet high and have recessed lighting installed. The custom kitchen is the most striking feature of the apartment, it is equipped with all major appliances (dishwasher, convection oven and cook top, refrigerator, exhaust hood) that are stainless steel and of the best quality. The Shaker style wood cabinets run floor to ceiling and are completed with exquisite granite counter tops. Three different sets of lights, controllable with separate dimmer switches, provide the right atmosphere for any situation. The floors are tri-colored porcelain tile in a custom design. It is possible to eat at the peninsula separating the kitchen from the living/dinning room. It is fully equipped. The bedroom is small but comfortable. At the foot of the queen size bed (Sealy Posturepedic firm mattress) there is a television, DVD player and VCR. There is an extensive collection of videos plus a dozen DVD's. There is an air conditioning unit in one of the windows. Sheets and bed coverings are provided. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small office with Italian lacquer desk and halogen light. There are closets in the office as well. The bathroom is fairly standard it has black and white checker board linoleum floors, tub and shower. There is a housekeeper which will maintain the apartment twice every month. There is a washer/dryer in the apartment. NEIGHBORHOOD: The Lower East Side is currently one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Manhattan. The apartment is situated within a few minutes walk of dozens of new bars, lounges, clubs and restaurants. The local music scene is thriving. The area is populated by lots of artists. There is a sense of something new and exciting here that makes it a great place to be!
