This one-bedroom loft apartment is located on the third floor (considered 2nd by Europeans) of a low-rise walk-up building with a security system in Manhattan’s West Village. The apartment benefits from west, south and east exposures. There are three windows in the living room that face west and have a view of New York City streets. Bedroom 1 is used as an office and studio space, and has eastern and southern exposure with no less than five windows. The bathroom, open kitchen and sleeping alcove all have windows with a southern exposure. The apartment has an original eclectic style and a real artistic sense with modern paintings decorating the rooms.
The living room of the loft apartment has hardwood floors which are set off nicely by white walls and pillars. There are two comfortable white sofas right next to the windows where you can enjoy reading a book in the late-afternoon sunshine. There are many bookcases in the apartment so there is always something to read. In the middle of the living room you will find a white round dining table that seats four, and is conveniently placed close to the open kitchen. The black-tiled bathroom can be found next to the kitchen. The sleeping alcove is located off the main living room area next to the bathroom and features a queen-sized bed facing TV with DVD player. From the alcove a door leads to the office/studio space (Bedroom 1) where you will find multiple desks to get some work done in that nice southern light.
The apartment can be found on Greenwich Street between Jane Street & West 12th Street. It is part of the West Village neighborhood that borders the Meatpacking District, two of the most sought-after areas to live in New York. Celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Aniston and Julianne Moore all own houses in the West Village. There are countless good restaurants, cafes, clubs and shops nearby the apartment. Piccolo Angolo and Sakura Hana are two great restaurants on the very same block as the loft. Furthermore, the famous New York restaurant Pastis is less than a thousand feet away from the apartment. The Christian Louboutin Boutique is also just two blocks from the loft. Hudson River Greenway Park with a great view of the Hudson and Bleecker Park are both just three blocks away. Another very special park is the High Line Elevated Park just four blocks away, which is a former a railroad track. The nearest subway station is 8th Avenue/14th Street at about 1500 feet (about 460 meters) from the loft apartment. There you can catch the A, C, E and L trains to commute through Manhattan or to Brooklyn and Queens.
Please note that this is a non-smoking accommodation, and that the bedroom in this apartment is used as a studio/office while the sleeping alcove is part of the living room.
