Luxurious two bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side
|
This apartment is located on York Avenue between 63rd and 64th Street in a luxurious high- rise building with a full-time doorman and elevator. This upscale two bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with a joining sitting area has an area of approx. 1200 square feet. The main features of this apartment are its proximity to New York Hospital and Sloan Catering Service. This apartment is ideal for a couple intending to enjoy the luxuries of New York.
You enter the apartment to a foyer with seating, bookshelves and cabinets; this leads to the living area. French doors leads to the living room, which is fully furnished with antiques. The walls are painted in a sophisticated sponge technique. There is a light rose-colored sofa with two matching armchairs, a coffee table and an area rug. In a cabinet is a stereo system and TV for your entertainment. Along the windows in each room is a comfortable built-in bench with fine pillows, which connects to a table for both luxury and convenience. In the corner is a round dining table with two upholstered antique chairs. A collection of artwork decorates the walls. Guests have access to the kitchen from the living room and from the foyer. The kitchen has green marble counter tops and wooden cabinets. There is a modern new stove, dishwasher, subzero refrigerator and sink available. If guests would like to cook a meal there will be plenty of pot, pans, and a nice selection of China available.
The bedrooms are off the hallway. The master bedroom features a queen size bed with matching nightstand, an antique cupboard and armchair. The adjacent bedroom is separated by pocket French doors. The luxurious marble bathroom with a glass shower, washbasin and WC contains all of the luxuries.
The second bedroom is very inviting, with sofa, armchair and a coffee table. The second bathroom is also marble and equipped with a bathtub and shower, washbasin and WC. Plenty of closet space is available in both bedrooms. Sheets and towels are provided. A phone is available for local calls.
One of the most sought after areas of Manhattan, the Upper East Side is a chic residential neighborhood that is home to numerous boutiques, specialty stores and restaurants. Of special interest to visitors is the famous Museum Mile, which includes among others the famous Guggenheim Museum. To the west of these busy streets lies Central Park, where one can hire a row boat or take a jaunt in a horse drawn carriage. In particular this apartment is on a street with all the famous hospitals in New York such as Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital and Rockefeller University is just across the street.
Public transportation is generally easy to find in Manhattan. The subway station nearest to the apartment lies within a ten-minute walking distance. Buses run regularly, and New York's famous yellow taxis can be hailed anywhere at any hour of the day or night.
