Hi Andrea,

The apartment you stayed in is currently undergoing a complete renovation that will include new windows, doors, hardwood flooring, new kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, new bathroom, new moldings and all new furnishings. We hope you will give the apartment another try when you return to the East Village.

Best regards,

I spent a nice time in this apartment. Generally, I think everything was good, the only thing I didn't like it was the absence of natural lighting. It was a pretty dark apartment and I think that the pictures that are showed on New York Habitat's web site don't show the real conditions of the space. When I visited the apartment before to book it, it was late in the afternoon so I couldn't realize that the space was so dark. This is something I found out during the time I have been there.
Furthermore, about the forniture, the living room offered a big sofa, a big television located on a huge desk, a table for dining, and there were two short tables, one bigger than the other one. If I can give some suggestions about the space, I would probably keep the sofa and maybe I would hang the television on the wall, but I definetly would throught away the two short tables and I would get some smaller forniture that can fit better that tiny space. In my opinion, this solution could help to get a space more liveable.
About the doorman and his family that handle the building's services, like cleaning or fixing any kind of issue in the apartment, they did a very good job. They are very nice people always available when you need them.

Dear Carmela,

we were pleased to have you as a guest in our apartment and we also do appreciate the fact that you took the time to give your feedback about what bothered you during your stay. We are sorry to hear that in your opinion the furniture were to big and the apartment wasn't lighting enough.
Thank you for your advises, your feedback will certainly be given careful consideration when we need to decide on new changes.

Best regards,

The internet was horrible, barely ever worked. Heating was inconsistent sometimes it was warm and sometimes it was really really cold. The room got dirty with the way the air condition vent was set up during the summer. It was a lot better after the unit was removed. Building often smelled like smoke on the 1st floor (not ground level).

Trash was picked up consistently, the building management seemed to be done relatively well (aside from heating).

My Apartment fits perfectly to what I need. I had everything for living a half year abroad. I love the location which is very centered and very close to 1 Ave where you can take the "L" train. My neighbours were very nice and everybody helped each other, it was a very friendly atmosphere. Wilson & Carmen are extremly supportive and nice whenever you had problems with something. I can highly recommend my apartment and I would choose it again for my next visit in New York.

The apartment was very functional, but a little too basic for my taste. It could be more comfortable, for example with little lamps, not only bright light from the ceiling.
The super of the building was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately there were at least two apartments in the building, where some college-kids used to party till late in the night very loudly.

We have lamps that can be provided upon request. We (Wilson and Carmen) are always eager to make our tenants as comfortable as possible. The "college-kids" are no longer tenants in the building.
