The location was great in that it was near many great spots in the East Village as well as the train, but I did notice the intersection of 13th and 1st usually was in worse condition than many nearby cross-streets. The apartment was great-- even better than the pictures. A ton of natural light! Very fresh and clean. The building was on the older side and stuff, but not to the point of being problematic. It's a long walk up the stairs, but you get used to it. I had a lot of friends paying a lot more for a lot less. All in all, I'm very glad I rented from this place. I would recommend it to a friend for sure.

Pictures don't do it justice -- There's new furniture, a big TV with roku/all the apps, good wifi, etc. Location is phenominal and apartment is super well stocked. It being on the 5th floor was a much less big deal than I expected. Its decently spacious too -- bathroom is super well lit as well.

Only flag is that the AC is in the living room -- the bedroom can get hot and stuffy so I would crank up the AC during the night and sleep with the bedroom door open, and it was completely fine.

Neil, thank you so much for this review. I am really happy to hear you enjoyed this apartment and its location. New York does get hot in the summer so it is a good idea to leave the door open so you can benefit from the A/C in the bedroom as well.

This apartment was a great find for our 1 month stay in the city. Very clean, quiet and the perfect size for 2 people. Great restaurants & shopping close by. The only downside was the 5 (really 6) flights of stairs which made moving in a little challenging. Thank you for a great stay in NYC!

Very nice and well located apartment. Quiet building and excellent assistance. My only complain at first was about how loud was the heater, but it was fixed on the very next day.

But it still a bit noisy.

Hi Luiza,

Thanks for the great review, I'm glad to hear the apartment worked out well for you. Steam heat can take some getting used to, most of the pre-war buildings in NYC use the same heating method.

Best regards,
Darin

Great location, almost 1 block from L train and bus station, perfect! Very clean apartment, great forniture (god bed, god sofa-bed, LCD TV, new freezer), very good kitchen with all
essencial. Good bath, nice size but the shower has is own humor (from 0º to 100ºC in seconds! kkkk). The only drawback of the apartment is having to climb the five flights of stairs every day.

The owner and the staff that work in the building were very friendly and helped us quickly when we need them (For questions about pagemento rent, solve problems with the the TV, etc.).

We shared this feedback with the owner who informed us that he had a technician adjust the water temperature.
