Location: East Village, on East 13th Street between 1st and Avenue A. Near to the L train. This two bedroom duplex is located in the East Village in a prewar, walk-up building. There are 33 units in the building and there are five stories (no elevator). There is an enclosed outdoor-garden space in front of the building. This landscaped area is a perfect spot to sit and enjoy a book and a cup of coffee. The closest laundry facility is right across the street The L train station is a just step away at 14th street. This building has a front door security system with double doors and a locked security gate. The apartment is located on the first floor, is approximately 700 square feet. There are hardwood floors throughout the space. The living room/dining room has two windows facing the street. The furnishings are eclectic in style and include a queen sized sofa bed and a chair and a television entertainment center. The entertainment center has a TV with cable and a telephone. The dining area has a microwave stand and a dining table with seating for four persons. The kitchen is open and has a microwave, full sized refrigerator, and gas stove. There are cabinets that hold the pots and pans and cooking utensils. There is also a coffee maker. There is ample space to prepare and store food. The bedrooms are located downstairs and have queen-size beds. There is also a dresser and night tables. NEIGHBORHOOD: This apartment is located one block away from the L train on 14th Street. It is also approximately a 10 minute walk away from the union square station where you can catch the N, R, 4,5,6 trains. Yellow taxis can be hailed at all times of the day or night. There are numerous inexpensive restaurants of every variety, and many wonderful food stores. There are also many terrific bars and clubs in the neighborhood as well as movie theatres. One of the trendiest and most up-and-coming spots in Lower Manhattan. Located near New York University and Cooper Union, the area is populated by a mix of students, artists, and more and more professionals. The East Village starts east of Broadway and is considered and absolutely unique place. It still retains its funky and trendy character, and is one of the most fun and popular neighborhoods in the city.
