The apartment is beautiful, well connected to any attractions, close to Central Park and subway and most important it's located in Upper east side ( the best district in NYC and the safest district for a girl!). Moreover, the price is so cheap for living in Upper east side!
The owner, Linda, is lovely, amazing, and respectful. I really suggest to everyone to chose this apartment, not only for the beautiful apartment ( one bedroom and a private bathroom just for you!) but for the fact that the Linda is the best roomie that I have ever met. I love Linda, and I love how she treated me. She is more than a roommate. We were very close during covid pandemia and we went through a really tough period. Thanks to her support I was able to overcome that period and go ahead day by day. Linda is in my heart and forever she'll be.
Do not hesitate to chose the apartment. You'll never regret it.
Thanks Linda,
Your roomie

I can not imagine living somewhere else in New York!! The apartment was super clean, I had my own bathroom, enough space for my clothes, all necessary in the kitchen to cook and live, the Central park and east river is just a little walk distance from home..It was just perfect! The Roommate Linda is the most warm hearted person, she was always there for me but gave me space when I wanted to live by my own in the apartment. She was always friendly and helped me when everything was new for me in New York. I always felt like home in this beautiful apartment and I hope Linda will always have beautiful people in her apartment who appreciate a home like this!

Apartment is very well-located, close to many restaurants, buses and 2 subway lines. You can reach Central Park very quickly by bus. Spacious bedroom, comfortable bed and private bathroom, which is a privilege. And, finally, Linda who is an adorable roommate and thanks to whom I had an excellent stay.

I had a lovely stay with Linda in NYC. She is the best host and her apartment is great!
The room is big and very comfortable plus having your own bathroom is such a big plus.
The neighborhood is great and very safe. There is a bus right in front of the building and multiple stores and restaurants are nearby.
I would highly recommend staying at Linda's apartment!

There was no privacy because the owner wanted, in the hours of tenant's absence, to keep the bedroom door opened; she came every day to check and, if deemed useful, moved objects at will (socks from a chair to the bathroom-water container to humidify the air in the room from a place to another one). Private restroom used by the owner to lay his clothes to dry, on average once a week, forcing you to ask her to move them to have a shower. Oven not working. She asked me to leave the room one night before my departure (the payment had to be detracted from the deposit) to sleep on the couch for the arrival of the new roommate with whom I would have to share the PRIVATE bathroom. For the rest of the house is identical to the photos, good location.

Dear Frederica, I was very sad & upset to read the review you posted today. I had no idea how unhappy you were as my roommate.

I always asked for your permission when it came to, for example, using the bathroom as a place for my clothes to dry. You never told me that I could not do this. I also appreciate it if my roommates can keep their doors open when they're not in the apartment so that I know when they're not in their rooms. I wish you had told me you had a problem with these things and we could have talked about it to make the situation better for you.

Also, the only time I moved something was to hang a wet item in the bathroom to dry, and I once moved the empty bowl from on top of the heat because it was empty. I'm sorry to hear now that this bothered you.

As for the oven, I don't use it myself. I didn't think it mattered to you if it was not working well - we could have discussed this & I would have had it fixed if you would have let me know.

After the initial three months that you had booked the apartment for you decided to stay for an additional three months. While I thought it was great having you, I don't understand why you decided to stay for an additional three months if the apartment was not up to your standards. You also asked to stay a few days past the end of the second three months, and I said it was fine if you could spend the last night on either my couch or air bed since my new roommate was arriving on your last day here.

I am sorry that you felt the way you did - you could have talked with me about any of these issues & I would have done my best to make any changes that I could.

Best regards,
Linda

Excellent experience. Everything was perfect. I am very grateful for the kindness and great welcome from the roommate-hostess. The room is spacious and cozy, and above all it was a luxury to have a private bath (a rare thing from my experience in looking for other apartments in Manhattan).

Highly recommended.

My stay with [my roommate] was an absolute delight. The apartment was spotless, bright and sunny, in an excellent neighborhood where I felt comfortable walking in the evening. [The roommate] is a gem and always made me feel extremely welcome. Although we didn't see much of each other due to conflicting schedules, we talked on occasion and I found her to be warm and very friendly. I would certainly recommend her and her [shared] apartment to anyone who is lucky enough to live there.
