One bedroom in a two bedroom apartment with large rooftop garden

This furnished 2 bedroom apartment is located in the East Village in Manhattan. This room for rent is in a two-bedroom apartment which you will share with another tenant. This walk up apartment is located on the fifth floor of a five story building built in 1840. There is a intercom/buzzer for your security. The apartment includes access to an 800 square foot rooftop garden complete with patio furniture, and has laundry facilties available in the building. The living room area of the apartment is about 300 square feet and has a sitting area that includes two couches and a coffee table. There is assorted artwork on the walls to brighten up the room. The kitchen is connected directly to the living room and has an open pass-thorough counter top that also serves as an island with two barstools for eating. There is a refrigerator, dishwasher, and small two-burner stove in the kitchen. The only oven is a medium-sized toaster oven. The kitchen design is modern with black countertops, stainless steel cabinetry, and a black tile floor. Bedroom 2 has a full-sized canopy bed and a flat screen television with a DVD player and cable. The bathroom has a vanity which provides ample light. 11th Street offers a view of the famous Empire State Building. The New York City neighborhood of the East Village is dynamic and ever-expanding in popularity. There are new restaurants opening all of the time. Just down the block is the new Orchid bar, and there are many restaurants lining Avenue A. Less than a block away you can play chess in Tompkins Square Park, which provides 10.5 acres of greenery in the middle of the East Village. The connection to the L train at 14th street and 1st Avenue is less than 1/2 a mile away (5 blocks), though there is bus service nearby on 11th Street and Avenue A that will take you directly to the subway stop.
