This two bedroom apartment share is located on the 5th floor of a 6-story elevator building found at East 2nd Street & Fort Hamilton Parkway in the Windsor Terrace section of Brooklyn, New York. The room for rent apartment has a security system and laundry facilities in the building for your convenience.
Enter the apartment in the main entrance hall that leads to your bedroom and the kitchen. Bedroom 1, the room for rent, is furnished with a double bed, chair, two dressers, bookcase and some bedside tables. In addition to the air-conditioning in the room there is also a ceiling fan and overhead lighting. A small table with seating for 3 has also been provided, and the two windows in the room overlook the street below and the rooftops of Brooklyn.
The kitchen and dining area, to the right is shared with the roommate of the apartment and is fully equipped to prepare meals at home. Some of the appliances found in the kitchen include a 4-burner gas stove, regular and microwave ovens, and standard size refrigerator. A few windows in this space keep it bright and inviting. At one end of the kitchen there is a small counter with three chairs, and further out in the main area there is a dining table for six.
Next to the kitchen is the shared bathroom for the apartment. In this white tiled room with yellow walls there is a tub and a separate shower stall. The cabinets under the sink plus hanging wall shelves provide more storage options.
Outside the two bedroom apartment, find yourself in the Windsor Terrace neighborhood, a primarily residential section of Brooklyn known for its proximity to Prospect Park and ease of access to downtown Manhattan. At just 7 short blocks away, Prospect Park is a great place to head to enjoy the outdoors. With various playing fields, running paths and places where outdoor concerts are held, the park is also known as the home to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.
To the west of the apartment is the Green-Wood Cemetery, a National Historic Landmark thanks to its incredible architecture and natural setting. Enter the park-like cemetery through the Gothic Revival gateways to wander the rows of mausoleums and other statues built to honor war heroes and other tragedy victims. In one section of the cemetery you can even find the family plot of Theodore Roosevelt.
If you are looking to enjoy some fresh and local food, look no further than The Farm on Adderley, a restaurant and community garden in Flatbush, that specializes in preparing meals based on what they can get from local farmers and other artisans. On a nice day enjoy brunch or cocktails in their garden seating area.
To get to travel through the rest of Brooklyn and reach the other boroughs of New York City, the closest subway is at the Fort Hamilton Parkway / Prospect Avenue Station with service on the F and G trains, which in 9 stops brings you to downtown Manhattan, or will take you to trendy neighborhoods like Park Slope and Williamsburg.

It's a really great room and it would be very hard to find better at that price. Thomasine is a lovely lady and my stay with her was perfect. |

This apartment was a great place to stay at over the summer. It was close to the train station and the landlady is the nicest woman ever. She even got me a small present and a card when my birthday passed. I definitely recommend staying here. |

I loved living here as much as I loved living with my flatmate. She's adorable! Nice neighbourhood, everything that you need close to the appartment. Is also well communicated with Manhattan even if it?s a little bit far but with a good book, time flies! The appartment was nice, big and really comfortable. I recommend stay in here to everyone! |
