The stay here was comfortable with no issues to really complain about. The host and the family are all very kind people and willing to help out when needed. The host took care to fix things like bulbs etc very quickly without delay. I am very happy that I got the opportunity to stay here with a kind host. It was a nice of the host to let me interact with her pet dog until it was with us.
On the whole my three years of stay was very pleasant.

My six month stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room and bed met my requirements. There was hot water in the shower and access to kitchen for a certain part of the day that was convenient. What made my stay very pleasant was the very caring host who was always concerned about my comfort and well being. Her adorable little dog made it all a wonderful experience.

I loved the apartment, and everything was great! Would stay here again whenever I stay in NYC again. The host is thoughtful and caring; every question I had was answered, every need I had was met. She even offered delicious snacks from her country of origin! The room had everything you need, and is certainly a great deal.

Every guest should realize that New York stays New York, which means the city has problems in itself, for example with its bugs. Know that this apartment is no exception to this and like every other apartment in NYC should be maintained to keep the bugs away.

I loved the neighborhood. It's very lively and full of culture. Great restaurants, and everything you need is around the corner. A few blocks away, under the George Washington Bridge there is a park full of green and nature, which might let you forget you're still in Manhattan.

In short, I do recommend this apartment.

The roommate is lovely, thoughtful and kind. The location is very close to the subway line I wanted to be near. The room is fine for my needs and quiet but overpriced for the size, window view of a brick wall, lack of cleanliness and poor building maintenance.

For example, hot water is not guaranteed and trash is piled high in the stairwell leading to the basement.

Thank you. I do not think room is overpriced since there is internet, a small fridge and AC. Unfortunately I cannot control or change the view on the brick wall. However I agree that there are maintenance problems in the building.

I have complained and the manager is getting better and improving cleaning issues. The hot water is now working and they are currently doing some fixing in the building.

Hi Christina, we wanted to thank you for your comments. It is unfortunate that you had difficulties with hot water and heat. We take your comments very seriously and we will make sure future guests are aware the window faces a wall.
