This fully furnished room for rent is found in a converted 2 bedroom apartment in Flatbush, a neighborhood in Brooklyn near Prospect Park. This apartment is on the 1st floor of a 6-story building with an elevator, which has the added convenience of laundry facilities within the building. There is an intercom/buzzer system for security.
The room for rent (labeled Bedroom 1 in photos and floorplan) is furnished with a full size captain's bed, which has drawers in the frame for storage. There is also a dresser and a wardrobe to provide extra space. The room is equipped with air conditioning and a television with cable and a DVD player. Additionally, wireless Internet is available. Please note that there is a space between the top of the wall and the ceiling that opens into the living room.
The bathroom, living room and kitchen in the apartment are shared with the owner/roommate. The kitchen is fully equipped, and includes a microwave, toaster and coffee maker in addition to all the basic amenities.
There are 2 windows with western exposures in the bedroom for rent that look out into the street and provide natural light.
This apartment is located on Linden Boulevard, found in the Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. Prospect Park, one of the largest parks in Brooklyn and home to a lake, zoo and concert hall among other things, is just 5 blocks away. Enjoy the Brooklyn Museum, the second largest art museum in New York City, found on the northeastern corner of Prospect Park. A grocery store and pharmacy are within 3 blocks of this room for rent, and there is plenty of shopping nearby on Chruch & Ocean Avenue. The 2/5 subway line is just over 2 blocks away, and the Q line is about 5 blocks away, making commuting to Manhattan or other boroughs of New York City convenient.

My review is in general quite positive. The apartment had almost everything everybody could wish for. My bedroom was perfectly equipped with TV, a small desk and fan for the hot summer days. The kitchen had nice furniture, and all the utensils you usually need, although the owner requested that I not use some of them. The owner was quite attentive and she always wanted to make sure that the temperature in my room was pleasant. The only downside is that sometimes she was a little obsessed with organization, but nothing too serious. The main drawback was its location. While the neighborhood is nice as well as near to Prospect Park, it is annoying to have to take the subway everyday. |

Xabier, thank you for your review. Indeed, the room has a fan and AC plus all other utilities a room needs. The kitchen utensils can be used if you want to cook but there are some things, like my steamer, that I like to keep for my own personal use. I like my apartment to be kept clean at all times, it is really important to me. |
