I love the location of the apartment, I could get into the city really quickly and there was great access to the trains and buses. The building didn't have many windows that could open, which was difficult during the summer because the heat got trapped. Roaches in the kitchen, a lot of them. Bathroom was clean, it was fine, only a couple of roaches. Some neighbors of different backgrounds, different ethnicities, sometimes screaming at night, either reprimanding kids or what not but, it hard to fall asleep. Whole experience: No overnight guests, got to the point where I couldn't bring people over at all. It turned into something unnecessary, because it should've been clear in the contract that no people at all. It was my mother wanting to check in and I couldn't have her over. The owner's mother stayed in the apartment, which I was fine with, but it was a big problem that my mother wanted to come over (during the day), it was unnecessary. Owner can't change their mind after signing |

Thank you Carlton for your review and for choosing my apartment. I'm glad that you found it convenient for getting into Manhattan. You are right that it can get a little hot in summer with the windows closed in spite of having air conditioning in the room. I will see what can be done to make it more comfortable. I'm sorry about the roaches issue that you encountered. Believe me I did not like to see any pest in my apartment, so I did my best to resolve this inconvenience quickly. As for the guest policy, I apologize that it wasn't clear at the start. In the future, I will be sure to stick to the guest policy in the contract. I want my roommates to feel welcomed, so I understand that this is important. I am glad that you enjoyed the neighborhood and the convenience of my apartment. |

I lived there from 12/03/2011 till 01/29/ 2012, and my experience was great. Amanda provided a clean and spacious living condition. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome, gave me a tour of the neighborhood on my first day, told me where I could buy transit cars to ride the train, where the grocery store was, everything. |
