Ellen's a great, warm person who will become a friend. It's unfortunate that the room needs a lot of your own climate control. The room is the hottest room in the apartment in the summer, and the coldest (thanks to drafty windows and floors) in the winter. We fixed the bed before I left so it's now extremely sturdy, and the bathroom has new tiles, but the construction work was incredibly obtrusive. However this was just during my stay and not likely to happen again soon. |

Thank you Cherlynn, I appreciate the feedback as I am always happy to further enhance people's experience at the apartment. The building is a well-maintained, prewar-landmark, co-op building. The air conditioner was new, I was unaware that you had issue with the air conditioning and as soon as you informed me, that it was too hot in your room I had someone come and repair it, and now it is in perfect running condition. |

The apartment building is nice but the apartment itself is in poor condition i.e. peeling paint, broken furniture, moldy bathroom. The kitchen is poorly equipped and I wasn't able to do any cooking. |

As I live in the apartment I take great pains to have a clean, stylish and inviting home. I am surprised to learn this roommates misgivings. In Carmen 5-month stay, none of this was mentioned. For two years, I have been happily renting to roommates who shared their friendship as well as their positive reactions. Some have cooked daily in the large, well-equipped kitchen. |
