Gaia, you were an excellent guest in our house. The soundproofing is something that would involve a major renovation at the house, for now we ask our guest to have more consideration with their peers at the apartment.
Mar 18 2013Friendly owner. 30$ per night for an extra person is inacceptable.

Thank you for your comment Constantin. Since the first day, I told you we charge $30.00 for an overnight guest, but it is something we can arrange for long terms as we did with you. Your disappointment is a big surprise to me and I am sorry to read that. Your girlfriend stayed for 30 days then your friend for 15 days.
Mar 18 2013You gave me an extra rent of $450.00. If you make the math you paid for them only $10.00 USD per night in NYC. For this reason, we decided not to allow any extra guest in our home as of now on.
The rooms are designed to be used by one person and we want to go that way from now on. I hope you understand our position and that you enjoyed your stay anyway.
The view from the apartment is very nice and the owners are very kind and helpful people. However, the haus is incredibly badly soundproofed and as a result, you can hear every single step in the apartment.
Dec 27 2011The kitchen equipment is substandard so we bought quite a number of items ourselves at the beginning of our stay. There is certainly need for improvement here.
A part from that, it is a nice apartment to share with very friendly and willing owners. I think it will keep getting better in the future, after all I was one of the first two roommates.
New York Customer Service
The owner was thankful for the review and explained that they provide the regular items a kitchen has but if anything is missing, clients can ask. They added that indeed the soundproofing is not perfect as the building is old, but whenever there is an issue, owners are open to dialogue so that the apartment sharing gets better and better.
