These fully furnished rooms for rent are located in a shared 3-bedroom apartment in Long Island City, Queens (just one subway stop from Midtown Manhattan). The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a walk-up 4-story loft-style apartment building. There is a buzzer system for guest entry.
The first room for rent features a private, en suite bathroom with a bathtub/shower (Bedroom 1 and Bathroom 1 in photos and floorplan). There are wood floors, high ceilings and a closet for storage. The room is furnished with a queen size bed, a single size day bed, and a desk with chairs.
The second room for rent (Bedroom 2) is furnished with a double size mattress upon the floor and a desk and chair. Wood floors line the space and there is a closet for additional storage.
The third room for rent (Bedroom 3) is only available for summer rentals, and is furnished with a double size bed and a flat screen television. There are wood floors and a closet for storage.
Wireless Internet access and air conditioning are available throughout the apartment.
The 800 square foot living room provides ample space for the roommates to relax together or apart, furnished with several couches, a dining table and a hammock. There is an entertainment center with a video projector for watching Netflix or playing Wii, though no formal television. The kitchen is open to the living room, fully equipped with all the necessary appliances for cooking at home. The shared bathroom has a bathtub/shower.
These furnished rooms are located in a building on 44th Drive in Long Island City, Queens, across the East River from Midtown Manhattan, New York. Down the street you will find coffee shops and restaurants within a 3-block walk, and there is a supermarket and a Duane Reade pharmacy within 2 blocks. There are many galleries in this area, as well as the PS1 MOMA Museum, about 5 blocks away. The East River itself is just over a block away, which you can stroll along, enjoying views of Manhattan.
PLEASE NOTE that this is an industrial area, and tends to be noisy during the day.
There are several nearby public transportation options to allow you to commute around New York City, including the E/M subway to Manhattan (just over 2 blocks), the 7/7x subway (4 blocks) and the G train (5 blocks), which will connect you to Brooklyn.
Please also note that there is a cat in the apartment, cared for by a roommate.
