This fully furnished bedroom for rent is located in a two-bedroom apartment in Uptown Manhattan in the neighborhood of Washington Heights. The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a 5-story walk-up building. There is a buzzer/intercom system for security.
This room for rent features hardwood floors and boldly painted walls, accented by simple, contemporary furniture. There is a queen size bed and a wood armoire that has space for hanging clothes, as well as shelves. For entertainment there is a small, wall mounted flat screen television with cable access, and wireless Internet is also available. Underneath the TV you have a desk for when you need to work at home. There is a window with eastern exposure that overlooks an interior courtyard; it has wooden blinds for privacy and an air conditioning unit to cool the room in the summer.
The living room, kitchen and bathroom are shared with the roommate, who occupies the second bedroom. The living room is cleanly painted with bright accents, and includes a small dining table and a sofa facing a flat screen television with cable and a DVD player. The bright kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster in addition to the convenience of a washer/dryer.
This furnished bedroom is located on Pinehurst Avenue in Washington Heights, an area in Upper Manhattan, New York. Fort Washington Park is a little over 2 blocks west, which runs alongside the Hudson River. The Hudson River Greenway is a path that goes alongside the river all the way to downtown Manhattan, perfect for jogs and strolls with a view of New Jersey. Around the corner on 181st Street (1/2 block north), you will find restaurants and cafes, including a Starbucks, as well as a grocery store and a movie theater about 5 blocks away. The Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to Medieval European art and architecture is only one subway stop north.
Public transportation is convenient with the A subway station less than 3 blocks away, and the 1 subway station about 7 blocks away, connecting you to the rest of New York City.
