Fully furnished and ready for your upcoming New York visit, this room for rent at LaSalle Street and Broadway in a two bedroom apartment in Manhattan’s leafy Morningside Heights neighborhood has the ideal combination of location and amenities. The apartment share is on the fifth floor (considered the fourth floor by Europeans) of a sixth floor walkup building and is just blocks from New York’s iconic Columbia University. The building features a buzzer system with intercom for guest entry, and wireless internet is included for the duration of your stay.
The kitchen and bathroom are shared with your roommate. The kitchen is painted a cheerful orange, equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator and a microwave in addition to everything you’ll need to cook, such as utensils and pots and pans. There is also the convenience of a laundry machine in the apartment. Please note that the living room is not available for use.
The room for rent features a twin-sized bed and a dresser for storage. A window with northwestern exposure allows in natural light and offers a pleasant view of a tree.
Located within New York’s famous Harlem, Morningside Heights is considered to be one of NYC’s most desirable residential neighborhoods. The beautiful architecture featured in many of the historical buildings of Columbia University, Barnard College, and City College dominate the area, and you’ll find some of the city’s best parks nearby. An entrance to Riverside Park is a couple of blocks to the west, and this is a great place to stroll or jog along the path that runs alongside the Hudson River and admire views of the New Jersey skyline. Morningside Park, also within walking distance, is one of the city’s most beloved parks. Built into a cliff, this is a nice place to enjoy the outdoors on a warm day. You’ll find most of the essentials that you need for your stay on Broadway, where there is a fantastic selection of shops and restaurants.
Thanks to the close proximity of the 1 train, conveniently located at 125th Street and Broadway, quickly accessing the rest of New York City is an afterthought. The 1 runs local along the west side of Manhattan. You can also walk to the A, B, C, and D trains located at 125th Street and St. Nicholas for express service.
Please note that a cat is living in the apartment, cared for by the roommate.

Let me preface this by saying that the value of the room was a deal for someone like me that was moving to NYC without a job lined up and needed a cheap place to stay. The roommates, and there were 2 of them as this listing fails to mention, were some of the shadiest people I've ever dealt with. |

I'm sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. There were not two roommates, but my boyfriend stays over often. I signed the book of receipts that you brought to me regarding the rent and I asked for a copy of it as well. I'm sorry that you felt that I was unfriendly. I treated you like family and introduced you to my family. |
