New York Room For Rent - Studio in Fort Greene (NY-15428)

This is a model room. It reflects both the quality and the style of the rooms we offer at this location. The individual rooms are a variation of this one with some differences in layout and exposure.

Please note that this residence is only for students, proof of registration is required.

The campus is located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn at DeKalb Avenue and Flatbush Avenue with 24-hour security guards. The 16-floor high-rise building also has a security officer present 24 hours a day and elevators to access each floor. A key card is provided to access the residence rooms. Female and male students are assigned to separate floors.

The room to rent is modest and simple but furnished with furniture such as three single beds, a sofa, desks, desk chairs, closets and safes. It is also equipped with a mini-fridge, a microwave, an air-conditioning unit, and has High-Speed Internet. The room is to be shared with two other roommates. There is a shared-bathroom on each floor with toilets, showers and a sink.

There is a room on each floor that is furnished with sofas and a cable TV. There is also a common room on the ground floor of the building with vending machines, a ping-pong table and a pool table. A laundry room is situated in the basement of the building and is equipped with washers and dryers. Rechargeable Cards can be bought in the lobby of the residence. A small kitchen, to share with the other residents, is also available to use on the ground floor of the high-rise and is equipped with a microwave, an oven and a fridge with freezer compartment.

Fort Greene in the borough of Brooklyn, New York is home to a number of art schools and museums such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Brooklyn school of music, the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts and the Mark Morris Dance Center. It is also within walking distance of many restaurants, from chains like Applebee’s or Five Guys burger joint to quaint coffee shops. The campus is a few blocks away from Fort Greene Park, where you can either take a stroll to relax or sit down to listen to one of the music concerts. The closest subways stations are steps away. Whether it be the B, Q, R lines at the DeKalb Avenue / Flatbush Avenue station or the 2, 3, 4, 5 lines at Nevins Street / Flatbush Avenue station, these train lines will give you easy access to NYC.

Please note that this furnished room for rent offers campus style accommodations with a communal kitchen environment. The occupant should not expect to have the same experience as a regular rental in a New York City residential apartment share.
