This is a model room. It reflects both the quality and the style of the rooms we offer at this location. The individual rooms are a variation of this one with some differences in layout and exposure.
Please note that this residence is only for students, proof of registration is required.
Located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn at the corner of DeKalb Avenue and Flatbush Avenues, the campus offers many great opportunities for students. The gates are supervised by security guards that are present day and night. The residence itself is overseen by 24-hour security officers to which you will present a key card giving you access to the building and the residence rooms. You can use the elevators to go up and down the 16 floors where female and male students are assigned to different floors.
The room for rent is modest and simple and is furnished with two single beds, a two-seat sofa, desks, desk chairs, closets and safes. If you do not wish to use the shared kitchen located on the ground floor of the high-rise, a microwave and a mini-fridge are available in the room to store and warm up food. Air conditioning and high-speed internet are available in each residence room. Please note that the room is to be shared with one other roommate, as is the en-suite bathroom, which has a toilet, a sink, and either a shower or a bathtub with showerhead.
There is also a room available on each floor of the residence that has sofas and a cable TV so you can relax between classes or on weekends. You can also access a common room on the ground floor of the building where you can use your talent as a ping-pong or billiard player or get a snack from the vending machines. A laundry room is located in the basement of the building, which you can use by getting a rechargeable card in the lobby of the residence. A small and bare kitchen, situated on the ground floor of the high-rise, is equipped with a microwave, an oven and a fridge with freezer compartment.
Reaching NYC is easy by either walking a few steps to the B, Q, R lines at DeKalb Avenue / Flatbush Avenue station or by accessing the station at Nevins Street / Flatbush Avenue where you can catch 2, 3, 4, 5 lines. The area of Fort Greene in Brooklyn, New York has become more and more residential over time and a is now an economically diverse neighborhood. A flea market on Lafayette Avenue has hundreds of vendors of antique and repurposed furniture, vintage clothing and other collectibles. It is also home to a number of food providers offering hot dogs, ice creams, sodas and fine chocolates. For relaxation, Fort Greene Park is a few blocks away from the campus and is site of the Fort Greene Festival—a two-day music, film and cultural festival.
Please note that this furnished room for rent offers campus style accommodations with a communal kitchen environment. The occupant should not expect to have the same experience as a regular rental in a New York City residential apartment share.

The rules of this apartment should be included as part of the rental agreement. Not being allowed guests (somehow this only applied to US citizens) is a major issue. |

Thanks for the review, Dominik! With regard to the guest policy, the number of guests who may enter a building is limited in many buildings in New York City due to issues of overcrowding and tenant safety. |

The luxury suite of this building was nice and spacious. The furniture was accommodating though the provided mattresses weren't very comfortable. I didn't care for my roommate, but we didn't have any real issues. The ridiculous guest policy was the main drawback of the providing agency. |
