The rules of this apartment should be included as part of the rental agreement. Not being allowed guests (somehow this only applied to US citizens) is a major issue.

Also, the guard at the lobby wouldn't allow even my parents to help move out. Again, really not an acceptable way to do business.

I also found the person in charge at the dorms (Max) to be rude and generally unavailable for things like paying the rent and answering questions.

Thanks for the review, Dominik! With regard to the guest policy, the number of guests who may enter a building is limited in many buildings in New York City due to issues of overcrowding and tenant safety.

As a result of your review, we have taken efforts to make sure future tenants are more aware of building policy.

The luxury suite of this building was nice and spacious. The furniture was accommodating though the provided mattresses weren't very comfortable. I didn't care for my roommate, but we didn't have any real issues. The ridiculous guest policy was the main drawback of the providing agency.

Depending on why you were in the building you were either allowed guests no questions asked, or absolutely 100% denied anyone stepping foot in the building and the manager offered no explanation. Also, the managers were never available. You could never get a hold of them when you needed them, not even to pay them.

I had no problem with the room but the managers of these rooms left plenty to be desired.

Thank you for the review, Erik! We're glad to hear you found the building to be nice and spacious, despite the issues you experienced. It is a shame that you didn't care for your roommate, but we are glad there were no major issues with the roommate.

It is indeed a challenge to find roommates with similar personalities.

With regard to guest policy, large buildings often have uniform rules to ensure the safety of tenants and prevent overcrowding, and these rules often limit the number of guests who may enter.

As a result of your review, we have improved our information to make building policies more clear to future tenants.
