This room for rent is located in a historic 3-story (equivalent to the European 2-story), five bedroom townhouse with security system in the neighborhood of Windsor Terrace in Brooklyn, New York. The rental features an enclosed front porch and a backyard that are shared with the owner; here there is a quaint flower garden with seating. The living room, kitchen and bathrooms are also shared.
The room for rent (bedroom 5) is located on the 3rd floor (2nd European floor) of the house. The room has a western exposure of the garden, and features parquet flooring, a single bed, dresser with TV and two closets are situated on either end of the room for additional storage space.
You will find the living room, dining room and kitchen on the 1st floor of the triplex. They are shared with the roommate. The living room has an eastern exposure and overlooks the tree-lined street outside. Furthermore, the room contains two comfortable sofas and a TV with cable. The room gives access to the dining room (living room 2), where you will find a dining table that seats 4. The eat-in kitchen is next to the dining room and has a western exposure and views of the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge plus freezer, dishwasher, oven with stove, microwave and toaster. The first bathroom of the house (bathroom 1) can also be found on this floor in a hallway that gives access to the garden with patio furniture.
On the 2nd floor, there are three extra rooms, as well as the second bathroom of the apartment. This bathroom (bathroom 2) contains a bathtub with shower, WC and washbasin.
You can find the five bedroom apartment share on Sherman Street and Ocean Parkway in Windsor Terrace, which is a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn. Beautiful Prospect Park is less than two blocks away from the townhouse. Here you can enjoy picnics, take a stroll around Prospect Park Lake, or take part in a variety of sporting activities. The park also has many summer events such as summer concerts, performances and festivals, and is home to the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Public Library. Moreover, you will find restaurants, cafes and stores all over the neighborhood, such as the Brooklyn Commune restaurant just 3 blocks away. Enjoy the tennis center that is just around the corner as well as the horseback riding stables in the neighborhood. There is also a subway station, just 3 blocks away, to commute to other New York City neighborhoods. At Fort Hamilton Parkway / Prospect Avenue station, you can catch the F train to Manhattan or the G train to Queens. Alternatively, you can take the B and Q trains at Church Avenue / East 18 Street.
