Stay in Harlem, the neighborhood long synonymous with being rich in literature, music, arts, and dance. The legacy of its cultural influence is still evident in today’s Harlem from amateur night at the Apollo Theater (0.5mi/750m) where many famous artists first performed to Amy Ruth’s (0.3mi/400m) for arguably the best fried chicken in the 212. It’s an excellent place to stay for easy access to the big-ticket attractions and exposure to an authentic NYC experience.

Being in such close proximity to such an abundance of nature, you might forget that you’re on an island with several other million people. The easiest way to get around Manhattan is by subway. You can access the 2/3 line at 116th St / Lenox Avenue (0.2mi/350m) and the B/C lines at 116th / 8 Avenue (0.3mi/500m).

I had a great time over the five months I rented that room. The landlady is a very lovely person, who is always willing to help us find the best options around the neighborhood. I highly recommend that room for whoever is looking for a nice, cozy and well located apartment in the Harlem. |
