Located on the 3rd and 4th floors of this 19 floor building, you are welcomed on the 4th floor into the fully furnished apartment with a large living room, offering a very large couch, coffee table, TV, and exposed brick. Both the living room and kitchen have floor to ceiling windows for natural sunlight to shine in. To access the kitchen and bedrooms, there are stairs leading downstairs to the 3rd floor. The kitchen offers all basic amenities for cooking a great meal, a dining table, and views of the courtyard garden below. All three bedrooms offer a bed, a closet, and a desk, as well as windows with fantastic views. The bathroom has tile floors and a bathtub, WC and plenty of storage for your belongings.
Roosevelt Island is an island located between Manhattan and Queens where a plethora of NYC residents live. With great views and easy public transportation, this is a great place to explore New York and learn to live like a local. Listed below are some of our favorite things to do specifically on Roosevelt Island alone:
- Chapel of the Good Shepherd: A historic church built in 1888, this is a beautiful landmark to see and hang out around throughout the day (217ft/66m).
- Riverwalk Bar & Grill: A casual bar and restaurant for you and your friends to visit any night of the week to watch sports events or absorb great views of the Queensboro bridge (0.3 miles/500m).
- Bread & Butter Market: A marketplace to stop at on your way home to grab some fresh produce and meat for a home cooked meal (207ft/63m).
- Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park: Overlooking Manhattan, this park is great for picnics, running, or simply to relax (1.0 mile/.7km).
If you’re looking to travel to other boroughs, public subway transportation is nearby at the Roosevelt Island stop, serving the F line in both directions. The apartment is not exactly as it looks in the pictures. The room is spacious but not as clean as it appears in the pictures. The mini fridge in the room was a great addition. The renter is nice, understanding, and respects your space. |
