Private bedroom, shared bathroom in a residential area

This prewar, brick building is located in a residential area, one block from Broadway. It has a full-time doorman, elevator, and laundry on the premises. The one-bedroom, one bathroom apartment, with white walls and wood floors, is located on the 12th floor of the secure and well maintained building. The roommate will occupy the bedroom, which has a large window. The room is fully furnished with a double bed that has a decorative metal headboard and footboard and that is flanked by nightstands on either side. Near the window is a dresser with a large mirror above it. Cable television and a phone are also available. Sheets are provided. The owner sleeps in the living room which has two windows and is furnished with a sofa, TV with cable and VCR. The standard bathroom is shared with the apartment owner. It contains a bathtub with shower, sink and toilet. Towels are provided. The open kitchen is also shared. It has a refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave oven and sink. THE KITCHEN IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR USE. The Upper West Side is a residential area of families and singles. The buildings are mostly prewar townhouses and large apartment buildings. Many of the streets are tree-lined. Broadway is the main thoroughfare and shopping street. Here you can find food stores and other neighborhood shopping as well as movie theaters and a multitude of eating places. For those who like cultural entertainment, Lincoln Center is at Broadway and the Museum of Natural History are nearby. 1, 2, 3 trains at 72nd Street and Broadway
