This two-bedroom apartment to share is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. The apartment share is located on the 5th floor of a prewar walk-up building. There is a security system for the building. The apartment share features hardwood floors and laundry in the apartment. The tenant is also granted sole access to the living room which is connected to the room for rent, which means a great deal of privacy for the tenant. The owner does not use the living room. The bathroom & kitchen are shared. The living room has a ceiling fan, a/c and a light green sofa with splashes of pink that blend perfectly with the area rug. It is adorned with plenty of plush pillows. In the morning sun streams in through the windows reflecting off the dark hardwood floors, flooding the room with sunlight. The room is also decorated with flowers and plants, which sprinkle it with color and look dazzling in the bright light. This room for rent is located in a lovely residential neighborhood of luxury apartment buildings in the Upper East Side, Manhattan, New York City. The apartment share resides one block away from the beautiful Carl Schurz Park, a hidden gem of the Upper East Side. Along with plentiful trees and flowers, it is lined with benches and offers "Upper East Siders" a temporary break from the city life. It also hosts summer concerts, art shows, and film festivals. A popular spot for sun-bathers and joggers, it boasts a view that even Central Park cannot match: stunning views of the East River, Roosevelt Island, the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, and Randall's and Wards Islands. It is also home to Gracie Mansion, a historic colonial house dating back to the 18th century, which has been the official residence of the NYC mayor. In the area you can find fresh produce, a local library branch, coffee shops where the locals gather and chat, and a Crêperie across the street, which serves a wonderful, relaxing breakfast/lunch.
