These rooms for rent are located in a private house in Kensington, a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York situated just to the southeast of Prospect Park. The house has two bedrooms for rent on the first floor and a separate studio on the second floor (NY-14920). This house features original wood floors and historic mouldings, as well as both front and back porches and a backyard shared amongst the guests.
Please note that at times the various rooms may be rented monthly and at other times they may be rented for daily or weekly periods, creating a more transitory and less permanent roommate situation at times.
The upstairs shared living room has a sofa, chairs and flat screen television.
Bedroom 2 is furnished with queen size bed, double size futon (not pictured) and a television. Three windows with southwestern exposure overlook the back porch and yard.
The basement room (Living Room 2 in photos and floorplan) is furnished with a single size bed and a double size futon. PLEASE NOTE that this room has low ceilings and no windows; three doors allow for ait circulation and light - a screen door to the garden, a door to the front and a door that connects the basement to the upstairs. There is a kitchen with an oven, refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster, as well as a private bathroom with a shower.
Wireless Internet access is available.
The upstairs kitchen and bathroom are shared between the roommates. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, gas stove, coffee maker, toaster and all the dishes and cookware necessary for home cooking. There is a dining table that seats three.
Breakfast is provided for guests that are staying on a daily or weekly basis (but not monthly).
These furnished rooms for rent are located on East 3rd Street in Kensington, a neighborhood found just southeast of the famed Prospect Park in Brooklyn. A four-block walk will take you to there, where you can relax in nature. The Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Gardens are found on the northern tip of Prospect Park. A variety of food, from Chinese to indian to pizza and coffee shops can be found within a block of the house. 24-hour convenience stores, supermarkets and pharmacies are also within blocks.
The F subway station is also just three blocks away and will connect you to the rest of Brooklyn or Manhattan, making commuting around New York City easy.
