Corner room available in a three bedroom apartment one block from Central Park

Entrance to the building is in the middle of the block rather than from the street. There is a security guard at the front door, two elevators, and a laundry in the building.

The apartment has green vinyl tile floors throughout and a mirrored wall in the entrance to the large living room/dining room, which is decorated with antique furniture. There are a sofa, armchairs, a coffee table, a piano, a dining table, a lot of plants, and paintings on the walls. In this room the floor is carpeted. This room is for the use of the owner who also has her own bedroom and a half bathroom with a sink and a toilet.

The corner bedroom is available. It is medium size with one window facing the park and a windowed door leading to a balcony. One wall has a mirror unit. The décor of the room is white. There is carpet on the floor, a single bed, two dressers, a desk with a lamp and a chair, shelves and a closet. Sheets are provided. There is a private phone line which can be activated for internet - at tenant's expense.

The bathroom has a bathtub with shower, sink and toilet - towels are provided. The owner shares the shower. Owner has her own half bathroom.

The windowed kitchen is to share and has a sink, stove, microwave oven and refrigerator/freezer.

Be aware that there is very limited kitchen use.

This part of the Upper West Side is mostly residential, called Columbus Square, however shops can be found on Columbus Avenue and along 96th Street, Whole Foods, TJ Maxx, Borders are all close by. That is also where transportation is located - buses and subway. The lush greenery of Central Park is only one block to the East. The apartment is in a fairly convenient location for those interested in museums, as they are mostly located uptown. The apartment is walking distance to Columbia and Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
