This furnished four bedroom apartment share has 1 bedroom for rent. The apartment is situated on the top floor of a 6-story elevator building. Overlooking the Hudson River and George Washington Bridge in Washington Heights, it is located on Haven Avenue at the corner of 177th Street. The apartment entrance has a video intercom to provide security.
The original living room has been converted into bedroom, making this a converted 4-bedroom apartment; there is no living room access in this apartment.
The bedroom is furnished with a queen sized, closet space, a dresser, a TV with cable and a DVD player.
The bathroom to share between the roommates is standard: sink, shower with bathtub, toilet, mirrored medicine cabinet and a window. There is also a separate dining area that is shared amongst the roommates.
The kitchen has a window and is equipped with a sink, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker and a toaster. PLEASE NOTE that use of the stove is not allowed. There is also a washing machine in the kitchen for the convenience of doing laundry in the apartment (permitted 1x/week).

With views of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge, this apartment is also located close to many parks, including Fort Tryon Park, which also contains the Cloisters museum. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, including many Latin restaurants, along with pharmacies and grocery stores. Columbia University and City College are both within 5 subway stops or an easy bus ride. The nearest subway station is on 175 Street / Fort Washington Avenue and serves the A line (0.2mi/270m).
Please note that the heating system is radiator steam which can cause loud clanging when in use during the cold season.

The J. family is wonderful! They welcomed me into their home and took care of me like family. Also, my room was very large especially for NYC. I would definitely recommend renting from them. They are a sweet and loving family. |
